One day down, one fablous day to go!

| April 29, 2011

Last night’s kickoff to the Creativity, Imagination, and Innovation in Education Symposium at TC was a smashing success. Attendees enjoyed wine and cheese at the opening reception, followed by words of welcome by co-chair Dr. Margaret Crocco. Experiential workshops allowed attendees to tap into their creativity through a wide array of mediums, including digital story telling, music, drama and poetry, and photomontage, just to name a few.

Throughout the afternoon, students from Art Education conducted a hands-on art project for anyone who happened through Zankel hallway and had a moment to stop and “make their mark.”

Today, we kick off another fabulous day with a Seminar on Creativity, Imagination, and Innovation, moderated by Ron Gross, at 10am in Cowin Center. Lunch is on your own from noon to 1:30, when we will reconvene in Cowin for a presentation moderated by Joan Jeffri, during which Art Cart artists will introduce themselves and the topics they will discuss in the ensuing inter-generational Salons. From 2:30-3:30, Salons will take place and at 4:00, Steven Berlin Johnson will take the stage in Cowin for the keynote address. Events will be concluded with a performance by the jazz ensemble and, no doubt, lively conversation amidst attendees and presenters, and a plethora of new ideas to ponder and take away.
